Dog House Posted on 16 Sep 05:00 , 0 comments

Everything Joe Mooney builds is spectacular, so we weren’t at all surprised to see the stunning metal, wood, and ONDURA dog house he built for his new puppy, Olive. We love the industrial design and are glad Joe used metal for the trim and not the roof; he knows ONDURA roofing sheets are much quieter than metal roofing in rain and hail storms, so Olive can stay safe, dry, and calm under her ONDURA roof!

Texas Greenhouse Posted on 5 Aug 05:00 , 0 comments

Cacti and succulents abound in this traditional greenhouse in suburban Fort Worth. Built roughly ten years ago, it is a great example of the durability of TUFTEX PolyCarbonate panels, even in the unforgiving Texas sun. The builder chose TUFTEX because “the panels are lightweight, flexible and easy to cut to size.” He adds, “this is one of the best projects I’ve ever done. I love my greenhouse!” Interested in building your own? Visit us at TUFTEXPanel.com

Outdoor Kitchen Posted on 1 Jul 05:00 , 0 comments

In honor of the holidays, we are re-visiting one of our all-time favorite projects: Doug and Stacy’s outdoor kitchen on their Midwest homestead. They often use ONDURA roofing because it is easier to work with than metal, quieter inside during rain and storms, and comes in a range of great colors, like the green they chose for their outdoor kitchen. Start planning your build now and you’ll have a great place to throw a Labor Day BBQ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXXl_aiWMvE

Screened in porch possible with Tuftex DeckDrain Posted on 10 Jun 05:00 , 0 comments

One of our industrious customers created a screened-in porch under a second-floor deck and finished the new room with TUFTEX DeckDrain on the ceiling. Designed to keep the area under a deck dry and looking great, the DeckDrain drainage system catches and diverts water away, and is easy to attach below existing decks. We think it’s pretty cool to create a new room within existing space, don’t you? Check out the before-and-after transformation!

Police K9 Dog Shelter Posted on 3 Jun 05:00 , 0 comments

As dog lovers, we are particularly excited about these kennels that house rescue dogs and K9s. Built by Sheriff’s Deputy Wine of the K9 Unit at his Virginia home, one kennel is for his personal dogs, including five rescues, one former K9 he adopted when the dog retired, and an active K9 who rides with Deputy Wine on duty. The second kennel is for boarding the department’s active K9s.

While Deputy Wine is a seasoned law enforcement officer, he is the first to admit he has no experience with construction; that’s why he chose ONDURA sheets for his kennel roofs. “I built both kennels myself, with no help, after watching YouTube videos, and my research indicated ONDURA is the easiest roofing material to install,” shares Dep. Wine. “The roof was definitely the easiest part of the project, because ONDURA is lightweight and easy to carry and manipulate. I was also able to cut it with only a razor blade and straight edge. I was super-pleased with how fast and easy the installation was, and I am very proud to say I did it right the first time and the roof looks great and doesn’t leak. Now all my dogs are protected from the elements: sun, rain and snow.” Job well-done, Deputy Wine!

Outdoor Bar Posted on 20 May 05:00 , 0 comments

What better way to spend summer evenings than at your very own covered patio bar? Take a cue from our friend Rich in Freehold, New Jersey, who gave his an island vibe with thatched sides, a teak top, and a gray ONDURA roof. Rich chose ODURA over metal roofing because he liked the color choices and ease of installation. “After doing some research, I felt ONDURA was the best option for me,” he says. “It was easy to cut and install with my own tools, and I expect it to hold up to the winter elements in the Northeast better than metal.” We’ll toast to that!

California Living Posted on 6 May 05:00 , 0 comments

No one does indoor-outdoor living better than Californians! For proof, look no further than this sensational covered porch in San Ramon. The homeowner chose ONDURA for the roof because “it is lightweight, durable, and easy to install.” We love the elegant color choice of black, and are seriously considering building our own!

Cottage Living is Beautiful Posted on 29 Apr 05:00 , 0 comments

A picture (or two) really can be worth a thousand words, particularly when it illustrates the transformative power of an ONDUVILLA roof. This charming cottage in Hickory, North Carolina, got a recent makeover with fresh paint and ONDUVILLA shingles, designed to deliver the upscale look of clay tiles with less weight and increased durability. The delighted homeowner tells us her new roof “is already the talk of the town.” That’s what we call picture-perfect!

Backyard Building Posted on 22 Apr 05:00 , 0 comments

Deek Diedricksen is known for dreaming up spectacular treehouses, cabins, tiny houses, and backyard offices, A-frames, and shacks, many of which incorporate TUFTEX. Why? “I favor the ‘sparse-modern’ look, but not the price tag,” Deek explains. “With its corrugated and repeating ridge lines, TUFTEX delivers the aesthetic I want, at a budget I can afford. The stuff is also lightweight, and durable as heck!” We couldn't have said it better ourselves.
